# 318 A visit to the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

If you like embroidery and sewing in general or know someone who does the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery has an exhibition on called Stitching and Thinking.

We went to see it yesterday and although I was a little disappointed at the size of the exhibition I liked most of work shown.

If you've never been and you're not very far away this is a great place to visit even with the children as there's something for everyone. Entry to the museum is free and you can find more information here.

  1. I am ashamed to admit that I haven't been yet, but will endeavour to rectify that this year. Thanks for the reminder.

  2. Hi Paula,
That exhibition looks interesting. I didn't realise that the Bristol Museum was free, I will definitely try to fit in a visit there next time we are in the area.

  3. Too bad I'm so far away. I'm a sucker for museums, especially free ones. And isn't most embroidery small to begin with? You can tell I know absolutely nothing about the subject, but just thought I'd ask.

  4. A bit too far away for me! I do like going to these types of exhibition though. There is always something to inspire!

  5. Paula, looks gorgeous! I went to the knitting and stitching show / twisted threads late last year, and the best part was the fantastic textile exhibition. Keeps me completely inspired! Xx

  6. Sadly, it's a bit too far away from me, but it does look interesting. I think I'll have to see if there's anything similar nearby! x

  7. Do you live in Birstol? I was there for two weeks to attend a summer course for teachers some years ago and absolutely loved it!

    1. No, but we're not very far away. We live in a small rural town between Gloucester and Bristol, it's called Berkeley. Maybe you've heard of it because of the castle.
